Odds 'n Ends
Yes, I've been a little busy and haven't taken the time to keep up here. Perhaps later in the week I can spend some time on it.
- The third and last article in my series about extending the .NET console interface, Console Input in .NET, is available on DevSource. You can download the code for the articles at http://www.mischel.com/consoledotnet/consoledotnet.zip.
- Some English word usage still confounds me. Today I was trying to figure out whether I should use "lie", "lay", or "laid" in a sentence, and I found Grammar for Geeks: Lie vs. Lay vs. Laid. Problem solved.
- The main Grammar for Geeks site has links to several similar topics such as There vs. Their vs. They're and others. I especially liked the Words that are not real.
- Speaking of non-words, I did a Google search for the non-word "permanentize," which I ranted about a few years back. I was surprised to see that my blog entry was the top search hit. Maybe I shouldn't be excited about having the #1 site for a non-word?
